Paul Lynch's Prophet Song is the favourite with bookmakers to win this year's Booker Prize
The six author shortlist has been announced for this year's Booker Prize and with that has seen UK Betting Sites offer odds on which of those authors will win the prize this year.
Paul Lynch is the early favourite for his book 'Prophet Song' which has been described as "one of the most important novels of this decade" by Ron Rash.
Betway have odds for all six of the nominated authors ranging from 9/4 up to 7/1 and it's Lynch who is the clear favourite to win ahead of second favourite This Other Eden by Paul Harding.
The latest betting odds suggest that there's a 30% chance of Lynch winning the Booker Prize next month which looks at the best work of long-form fiction that is published in the UK and Ireland.
