Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi is now as short as 1/6 with bookmakers to win the Ballon d'Or after hitting the ground running following his move to Inter Miami.

The betting odds for him winning the Ballon d'Or have now gone from 8/15 to just 1/6 following his start at Inter Miami.
Paddy Power had moved Erling Haaland into 11/8 following his treble winning season at Manchester City but he's since drifted in the market.

What the expert says...
Lionel Messi has now been backed into 1/6 to win the Ballon d'Or after starting off perfectly at MLS side Inter Miami!
Erling Haaland the only real contender in the betting market at 10/3
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland looks to be the only contender for Lionel Messi this year for the Ballon d'Or with his odds at 10/3.
That still gives him just a 23% chance of winning the award compared to Messi's 85% chance according to the betting odds.
Haaland scored 36 goals in the Premier League last season breaking multiple records on the way to winning the title as well as the FA Cup and Champions League.
