Challenge Cup Final 2024: Wigan v Warrington - Result
On a highly emotional day following the recent death of Rugby League legend Rob Burrow, 64,845 supporters at Wembley Stadium saw Wigan Warriors lift the 2024 Challenge Cup after defeating Warrington Wolves 18-8 in the Final after leading 12-2 at half-time.
Wigan were winning the Challenge Cup for the twenty-first time and hold all four major Rugby League titles: The League Leaders' Shield, the Super League Title, the World Club Challenge and now the Challenge Cup.
Wigan half-back Bevan French was awarded Man-of-the-match.
Final Preview
Wigan Warriors take on Warrington Wolves in the Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 8th June.
The Final is due to start seven minutes late 3.07pm as a tribute to the late Leeds number seven player Rob Burrow who recently lost his fight against motor neurone disease.
Wigan are the hot favourites to win their twenty-first Challenge Cup Final whilst their opponents, Warrington, are going for their eleventh Final victory.
Wigan last won the Challenge Cup in 2022, Warrington in 2019.

Rugby League Challenge Cup 2024
The 2024 Challenge Cup began over the weekend of 13th/14th January with the first round which consists of 20 UK based community teams and teams from the armed forces. This is the 123rd edition of the Challenge Cup.
The second round takes place on the 27th/28th January where ten teams from the National Conference League Premier League are added.
10th/11th February sees teams from the Championship and League One added to the draw. Two further rounds take place on 22-25 February and 7-10 March to bring the qualifiers down to four.
The four qualifiers are joined by the twelve teams from the Super League on 22-24 March for Round Six.

The semi finals: 18-19 May
Final: 8th June

Rugby League Challenge Cup 2023
Leigh Leopards defeated Hull KR in the 2023 Challenge Cup Final and in doing so recorded their third title and their first since 1970/71.
The 2023 event was the eightieth Challenge Cup played at Wembley with the first final taking place at that venue in 1930 and won by Widnes.
The 2023 Final was tied at 80 minutes 16-16 and is the first final to be settled by the Golden Point. Lachlan Lam scored a drop goal to give Leigh the title.
