Remmooz is a 3-year-old colt trained by Owen Burrows. He is lightly raced with just 3 starts, finishing 1-1-4, posting an RPR of 100 on his second start, winning emphatically while carrying 9st 10lb in novice stakes. He was then sent to Royal Ascot to compete in the Jersey Stakes, a Group 3, where he was beaten 7 lengths behind horses who have posted RPRs of 114-105-110. Clearly, more was expected in that 7f, but he got slightly outpaced. Today's extended 7f 192 yards should help his cause. That race is head over heels above today's fair and looks fairly treated off 98 at bottom weight and could be a blot on the handicap. The trainer won this in 2018 with Wadilsafa, who had a similar profile, having had just three starts and had previously run in a Group 3 at Royal Ascot. In the last 10 runnings of this race, 8/10 had been sent off in the top two in the betting, and 10/10 winners had run in the last 31 days, so fitness is a significant factor.

Sisyphean is a 4-year-old colt trained by Kevin Ryan. He has 2 wins out of 10 and opens on a mark of 80, having posted a career-high RPR of 100. He is so progressive and runs off 93 today. He has a liking for York, winning over CD, and has since posted that form of 100 over CD, beaten 1/2 length by Old Cock. In the last 10 runnings of this contest, 8 out of 10 have resided in the top two in the market, and course or CD winners have won this race in each of the last 4 years. Put in a RFC with my other fancied selection, Remmooz.

Good strike rate of 50% with four wins from just eight starts and comes here on the back of a cosy win over course and distance. Appreciated the quicker ground there and though time wasn't anything too flash is an improving sort. 4lb higher here and drawn alongside Blue For You who knows his way around here and was well behind my fancy last time they met over that C&D race in May. Looks as if has been kept fresh enough for this and on just third start of the season looks one to follow. Yard could do with a winner or two but this one looks a fair sort and as long as ground stays quick must go close.

Have to have a saver on this old timer who has only won three races on turf and they've been one a season over course and distance over the past three years. Two of those was in this very event and though might prefer a bit more juice in the ground must of been primed to peak in his bid for the hatrick. Caught the eye last time again over C&D and as is a 1lb lower than last year's win in this event. Yard in better form now and he has plenty of pace around him to aim at and should run a big race.

La Trinidad came 3rd here last time at York and, seeming to like the good/firm conditions, should be expected to be in the mix again. Came 12th last time out at Ascot, got trapped in behind a wall of horses and suffered as a consequence. E/W chance.

Bopedro is raised 2 lbs here after an excellent race at Royal Ascot recently. If there's a strong pace on here, we can expect the selection to make inroads as the race unfolds.

Won over this trip and in this grade at Thirsk on penultimate start. Disappointed at Epsom over their extended mile last time out where the track may not have suited.
