He was in good form through last autumn before disappointing when too keen over 3m at Southwell in January, so the return to shorter could suit here. His current mark of 94 is workable to me, given past placed efforts in similar races, and he goes fine on good ground. Off 142 days, which might leave him needing it slightly, but he has run well fresh before. Each way chance if settling better early and there is a good pace to aim at.

Mr Yeats has had three starts for this yard since joining, all in Class 4. Fell first time, then came 4th at Warwick, where he seemed to be re-educated. Was kept in rear on latest start 12 days ago before staying on for 4th. He is now below his last winning mark and dropped in grade today. Looks sure to be asked serious questions by his rider. If he responds, he has the ability to win.
