Not beaten far when runner-up over an extended two miles here last month. Shaped as though he would appreciate this step up in trip.

She Has Notions has not won since around this time last year but has spent this year's three runs since the break hurdling. Not great with two PU, but those runs were up around 3 miles. I think the return to 2m4f today, a trip he last won at here with Sean Bowen in the saddle in this last year, bodes well for today.

Has yet to score over fences but has not been beaten far in most of its 7 chase starts, including a short head 2nd over course/distance on good ground last year (2 from 3 placed over course/distance so far). Probably found 2m inadequate last time out but was only beaten by 1/2 length over 19f on its penultimate and can get back on track with a win today back over 20f.

Ran well in defeat over this course and distance last time out, probably sat a bit too far back early on in the race, can do better with more positive tactics from the jockey today. This horse does at least have more experience over fences than a few of these opponents and that could be an advantage to this horse.

The Evan Williams trained syndicate owned Henry Box Brown ticks a lot of the boxes, he is a c&d winner and acts on the ground. He is fit and well, Ellis Collier takes off 5lbs and a big run is anticipated.

Catboy, a winner over hurdles at Fontwell, made a fair start over fences on chase debut last time (2m4f good Uttox). That was his second run back following a break. He travelled well for a long way and was not pushed once beaten. He would have learned plenty and be sharper today. It was a stronger race than he faces today, and with just a touch of improvement, he looks capable enough to make the frame at least against today's rivals. With a 4-place payout, he offers EW value.

Zacony Rebel was rated as high as 129 over fences just two years ago in 2023. Although having shown very little form recently, that has been over hurdles, and he could still have some ability in chases above his current mark of 95. His last chase was way back in October 2023 when rated 124.

Risky tip so just a small each-way chance for this horse who hasn't really shown any form since 2023 so improvement is needed, lots of it but, he's been very lightly raced of late , did leave the impression last time out that he could do better on his next start.
