The handicapper has had his say, shoving her up 7 lbs for the easy success last time out. She's pitched into a better race here but seems to be going the right way. The way she traveled last time out suggests she's worth her chance in this grade. This is a nice little pot for the time of year. I've no doubt Dan will look to put matters right, getting a nice little head start on the chasing pack by taking home this nifty prize. She beat a useful handicapper comfortably in Statuario last time out. He placed off a mark of 135 in the Summer Cup last season, so clearly she's beaten a decent, experienced handicapper quite cosily when winning last time out. She's got a nice racing weight. This doesn't look overly deep for the level. I think she can go close here, granted a clear round.

Ran a cracker after a break LTO at Ayr behind Riskintheground, who franked the form by winning straight after at Cheltenham. Same mark here and shapes like this trip is well worth another shot.

The handicapper has left his mark untouched, which is very kind of him given this lad was an unlucky loser last time out. His chase debut win reads very well. He gave 8 lbs and handed a comfortable beating to Haiti Colouers. To be fair, his task was made easier by the runner-up messing up the last fence. Obviously, that form has worked out well with the runner-up winning all 4 chase runs since, one of them being the National Hunt Chase and the Irish Grand National on his most recent run. He's yet to get his head in front since then. To be fair, he's had his excuses. He went close next time out at Newbury behind Bowtogreatness, beaten just over 1 length trying to give him 6 lbs in weight. He's gone close the last two times, arguably unlucky in defeat on both occasions, particularly last time out, running on far too late. Perhaps the jockey would like that one back. This is obviously a better race, but he's got the form to win this race.

Underwent wind surgery following three moderate performances towards the back end of last year, and operation seemingly a success as he added a hurdles win to his four career successes over fences. Subsequently not beaten far into fourth when returned to fencing last time. First time blinkers today and a pound lower mark could see him back in the winner's enclosure today.
