Only 1 win in 28 on turf starts but has two wins this year on AW. Was denied a clear run in last time at Carlisle on the turf but ran well. Also effective on slower going. Great each way chance and the price isn't too bad.

Race 1 at Musselburgh today is the Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb And Ginger Handicap (Class 6) for 4-year-olds and upwards over 1,007 m. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 5-year-old gelding King Of The Jungle from the Michael & David Easterby yard. He will be ridden by Lewis Chalkley. This son of Bungle In The Jungle showed his well-being with a top run after a rest last seen and should be a major player here.

Last win came around this time last year off a mark of 53, ran a nice race here first time up this season. Has a good draw in 7 and won't mind any softening in the ground, effectively off a mark of 43.

Zuffolo has been sliding down the weights since winning off a mark of 65 last September. He showed just enough last time at Nottingham in a stronger race than this to be of interest. Royal Duke saves his best for Musselburgh and is likely to put in a good run off a mark of 48.

Veteran, who picked up a 7th career victory when striking over course and distance in October, mostly struggled since and was well beaten last time. But has slipped back down to that last winning mark (has won the last twice off 48), so is of interest on that basis.

Plenty of miles on the clock for the 7yo but he does have three AW wins this year and is still running to a good level. Back from a 2 month break last month with a good turf run, only beaten 2L - didn't have a lot of room in the later stages of that race. Facing much lower rated rivals now, a 2lb lower mark, capable apprentice booked for the ride who can claim a useful 5lb. He ran a couple of respectable turf races this time last year while rated a huge 16lb higher than his current mark. He looks overpriced.
