Sir Galahad is still unbeaten. Though this is by far his toughest test to date, the Ollie Murphy runner could, with luck in running and jumping, go very close to remaining unbeaten here today at Market Rasen.

James Owen has targeted this race with a number of runners, and Cavern Club looks the pick of them. Winner of Class 4 handicap (2 miles) at Chester on last outing on the Flat a month ago. Some strong efforts over hurdles. Two wins from six in this sphere and one length second in competitive Cheltenham handicap hurdle last season and win at Doncaster back in March off OR114. The 5yo has consistent career stats, flat and jumps. Just two runs this year. A hurdle winner during April. He was then a close 3rd of 16 in a quality Grade 3 handicap hurdle on his next start - 4L clear of the rest. Same mark for this handicap, trained at a top yard, plenty room for improvement and is a nice price.

Claimed victory in this race a year ago and secured another win at this distance last month. While his track record suggests he should not be overlooked, the 6 lb increase from his last performance places him 5 lb above the level he surpassed last year. It's a competitive field filled with talent, yet I'm choosing this 8-year-old because I believe the 9/1 odds present the best value.

Won at Hexham in May. An impressive strike rate. Well beaten on the flat but will be much better over the hurdles here.

Nibras Gold should be fit after 3 runs on the flat. Although he ran in this race last year without making a mark, I feel he has progressed in confidence and capability with James Owen.

Tara Iti did a cracking job last month at Uttoxeter when winning by four and a half lengths. With most of today's expected favorites all stepping up in class/grade as well, I think this puts him in with a chance. While up 8 lbs for that, he is still well-weighted among today's C2 runners. EW 4P.
