3 wins to date, with the last one coming in May last year. Form has been patchy since then, with the latest effort finishing seventh by 3 and 1/2 lengths over 1 mile. Back down in trip and a course and distance he has won over could have place possibilities at least.

Study Up on handicap debut is a real eye catcher. Won on his first and only start last year at Salisbury and was not seen until 16 days ago in a novice 6f here at Kempton but was carrying an enormous 10st-8lb. Did well with that welter weight to finish 4th of 12 and returns over course and distance tonight off what could be a lenient opening mark of 77.

Best form over today's trip and is a course and distance winner. Won here in March and that race has worked out with the 5th winning since. Last 2 runs over a mile and dropped a pound today.

C&D winner GIANT looks worth an each way interest for 4 places returned to his favoured 7f trip after two recent poor performances over 6f. He will be fit on his fifth start of the season, his draw in stall 7 is ok, and the Richard Spencer yard have been amongst the winners in recent weeks (Last 14 days: 3-18, 17%). I am picking Chalk Mountain as it has run at this course and distance 5 times, and it has managed to win 1 as well as placing in 2 of them. Its last 2 runs out were not the best as it failed to place in either of them, but it has been on a break of 144 days, so hoping that will help it. It is running in this class 4 handicap off a rating of 81. Back in October, it placed 2nd in a class 3 handicap off a rating of 82, finishing just a length and a half behind the winner.

I think this is going to win because it's the best. He's got a big, fat booty with powerful thunder thighs, and the jockey is gonna give it the ride of its life right over the line. Yeehaw!

The race at Doncaster, they went off far too quick. Although this horse did have trouble in running, I think it would not have finished much better than it did due to using energy too early. But if the race tonight back at 7f is run at a decent pace, the horse could do better.

SHELBOURNE runs with the yard in fine form and this one's best all-weather races have been at this venue. Still just a four year old he should be open to progress as a handicapper and third-up for this campaign could see him to good effect tonight.

Down the list in the betting probably because this is a class 4 event, but is a previous C/D winner and never really runs a bad race here. With 4 places to aim at, it could sneak into a place at decent odds.
