Eye Of Dubai still looks well handicapped on a mark of 90 (carries 8 stone 13 pounds). Twice won 6f handicaps on soft ground at Class 2 level last year off OR84 and OR87. Only four years old so further improvement pretty possible. Makes first start this season here and has arguably been waiting for soft ground. Smart grey, bred for sprinting by Havana Grey out of a mare by Orpen. Solid form record with three wins and seven places in 13 starts. Early market support. Jason Hart rides for John & Sean Quinn. Looks a fair play at 11-2.

Richard Fahey's 7yo has become a regular in this race, and much will depend on how much rain they get on Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday. The more, the better.

Rousing Encore bounced back to form with a strong win last time, beating tough rivals convincingly. He has solid handicap experience and is well treated at the weights. If he reproduces that effort, his closing speed could make him a major threat late on.

SOLAR ACCLAIM is better off at the weights with some he has faced previously and he has an Irish 7lb claiming apprentice aboard. This could be interesting and there could be something to read into that , so the value play with a spin behind him could be this runner.

Sondad secured a commanding win at Ascot last month which came in a first-time visor, and he showed a sharp turn of foot to put the race to bed. Now up 8lb in the weights, he faces a tougher field, but his progressive profile suggests there’s more to come. With the same headgear retained and confidence high, he could be a strong contender if he continues his upward trajectory.

Purest Time was a decent performer when trained previously in France. Had no chance last time out from a poor draw at Chester and much more is expected here with the return to 6 furlongs a plus.

INTERVENTION is a bit risky for win purposes, but has shown some ability in recent outings. He doesn't look out of place in this grade or from this weight and we've potentially got the elements here for a big run from a big price. Distance shouldn't be an issue and even though he didn't fare too well in this last year, I'll give him another chance.

Totally exposed sort but has back class and was a Group 3 winner in Ireland and must be noted it was only last May when touched off in a Listed event at Naas trying to given an Aidan O'Brien horse rated 111 at the time 3lb. Ran behind a couple who go in the 2.45 when last of 8 on stable debut so it'll be interesting to see how they go but could improve on second start for yard. Adaptable regards ground and it catches my eye has a Wokingham entry at Royal Ascot so connections must think is a decent sort. Looks on a fair mark on best form and might surprise a few here. Young jockey did ride a winner on this Derby day card last season and this one has a squeak.
