Hampered turning in, he stayed on well on a surface which he hasn't particularly enjoyed previously. The trainer is in good form and Danny continues to prove reliable. The soft ground is a question, but the horse's action suggests that it will not be as disadvantaged as most of the field.

The Gay Blade hasn't won since 2024 and has been coming down in the handicap to an attractive weight. The conditions are good and the horse is a value price.

RUN THIS WAY has not really shone here at Carlisle, but she has certainly performed well on soft ground. Given that 6f is her trip, and her form figures in Class 6 handicaps read 391114, then we have a case. The current 10/1 seems more than fair, and the Paul Midgley-trained mare rates a nap bet.

This race features four three-year-olds, with a grand prize for the winner. One contender, positioned at the bottom of the Premier rankings, may not be known for flat racing but has been improving steadily. Warren's stable is in strong form, boasting four winners in the last 14 days with a 25% strike rate. A Premier ground winner last season, he could benefit if the rain arrives. While not flashy, his performance on 5 May showed promise, despite market expectations. He has progressed over an extended mile and continues to refine his form. Gallagher, despite a challenging draw, managed to secure the lead without wasting time, demonstrating resilience. His final stretch was encouraging, suggesting further improvement. I anticipate another aggressive front-running ride, with Premier making his move 50 yards out. Given his recent form, he should be available at an appealing price.

Was beaten less than a length when finishing third over 5f at Redcar last month when returning from almost four months off but only managed fifth from seven over the same trip at Nottingham eight days later but was well beaten when stepped up to 6f at Thirsk a week ago. Rhys Elliott's 5lb claim should come in useful. Good EW bet.

Back Tomorrow runs for the Whillans yard with Scott booked and comes out of stall 6, which is a fair draw. Looked unlucky last time when short of room and not given a hard time late on. Has winning form at this trip and is now below her last winning mark. She could go close and is an each-way shout in a winnable race.

Risky tip so just a very small each-way tip, the good odds are the main reason for me making this tip. Hasn't shown much so far but, didn't get a clear run or have the best track position last time out. Can probably improve in the right sort of race , very small each-way tip today.
