The 6yo mare is in good shape. Three turf runs this year, a little unlucky in running in the first two of those races before a C/D win in a classified stakes last week, a shade cozy in the end by 1L+ - good RPR rating posted. Now running in handicap company but is still on a handy-looking mark.

EIGHT MILE is a ride for experienced jockey Tom Queally who is 17/85 { 20% } at Brighton which could be a significant pointer. This is a near-basement grade handicap where this racer is well treated and he is double entered also holding a place on Thursday in a handicap at Yarmouth. That is possibly an endorsement of his current wellbeing and he should go well.

ROMAN EMPEROR doesn't find winning that easy but has been steadily improving and stayed on as if he could handle the extra distance last time out. Now drops further in the weights and with two longshots likely to make the running there will be a pace to aim at. This one could be one of the ones that reels them in.
