You'll often hear me say 'I love these Barn burners here' but then I'm sitting here scratching my head for the next hour trying to figure out which of the 137 runners has a chance?!? I'm looking at Patrick Magee's 4 year old Filly LISMACBRYAN HILL sister to former Curragh Winner LISMACBRYAN who has been edging closer since returning in March with the lower mark & more importantly better ground seeing this Daughter of KUROSHIO improve with a decent run @Bellewstown (5f Good) keeping on this Mare was quickly turned around 3 days later @Navan (6f Good) going off as favourite fading in the final strides to finish 4th 2½ lengths. Being wide drawn is always a positive here in these big field affairs as is Being up with the pace. This Charge is racing 3lbs out of the handicap but has that negated thanks to Patrick McGettigan's 7lb claim, Jockey has a 40% place strike rate the past 14 days & 25% place strike rate here the past 5 years. You would find yourself in profit had you backed this trainers runners blind here the past 5 years & with 6 places available running featherlite I'll take a swing.

The selection is in progressive form, having been 3rd here in March and 2nd at Limerick 10 days ago. The C&D winner, Gordon Bennet, may be the main threat.

Proven over this course and distance, Gordon Bennett’s recent 1L third in a similar contest signals he’s primed to strike. His familiarity with the track and tactical versatility make him the safest bet in a competitive field. Expect a strong front-running effort under J.A. Powell.

I BID YOU AJOU is dropped down into the sprint division for the first time. His running style last time out suggested this step could suit and he is potentially a hamdicappper who is looking well treated coming to hand ahead of this race second-up this season.

Very open contest and I got to number 5 on the card, Ransom, and thought this one could be a good each-way shout. Yes, winning has been at Dundalk mostly, and well over a year since the last win, but that was off 81 and is now down to 67. The trip is a little bit short perhaps, but at 12s could give a good account with 6 places on offer.
+756 profit on Horse Racing in the last 6 months

28 runners so it's competitive but there are six places available to each-way backers. Velvet Skies may have the prime draw in stall 28 here. The 4yo has been busy at Dundalk this winter, winning in March over six furlongs. Good efforts on turf recently at Naas and Navan. Stumbled at the start and was doing all his best work late on over five furlongs there (third of twenty - some of these behind). Two pounds better off for the apprentice's claim here and Terry Casey has been going close for trainer Michael Mulvany lately. Gets six furlongs well and the Curragh could suit. An each-way contender.

Another almost impossible puzzle to solve, but I like this mark of Dennis Hogan's NEZEEH here. He’s an ex-Godolphin recruit. Might have gone sour or something, because he was snatched up by the Cloughjordan handler for a mere 3k. Won his maiden at Thirsk over 6 furlongs, so we’ll presume that’s his trip. You can forget his recent Limerick run and no show on ‘heavy’ over a mile. The previous Bellewstown run on ‘good’ (1 mile) was a fairly decent performance. Turned in for home with a decent looking chance, but weakened after the road, probably suggesting that the return to today’s trip of 6 would suit. Both of those runs he was ridden by a 10lb claimer who is now kicked to the curb in favor of stable jock Joe Sheridan. Down to 60 now, joined Hogan at 80, might be on a good mark and looks interesting.
