Cape Sounion put up a good performance when 2nd behind Aidan O'Brien's Simply Astounding at Naas. Although the winner has since flopped in a Group 3, she apparently stumbled leaving the stalls. The fact that there were seven lengths back to the 3rd at Naas suggests Cape Sounion should soon be winning.

Could be a bit of a premature bet as the odds from the bookies could still change. Remarkably, the favorites are not winning this race. Statistically, since 2004, the favorites have not won this race once. At the same time, trainer A P O'Brien has won here for that period 7 times. So my choice is Beautify.

Ran well on debut last time over course and distance, having no luck in running and unlucky not to finish closer. Has an each-way chance here.

Amerilis is closely related to several useful flat winners and makes race debut representing a yard in red hot form with 10 winners and 10 frame finishes from the last 22 runners.

Cost $100,000 as a yearling and was sold for $600,000 as a two year old. Related to some good Grade 1 winners. David Egan in good form recently. Should be involved at the finish.

Top operation also run the more fancied Beautify and R. Moore has plumped for that one. However, if that horse was not running and R. Moore was on selection, they would be trading @ around 6/1 in the race. Very good jockey up and master trainer who is tops here numerically/percentage wise last 5 seasons, 24 percent with his 2yo's in same period, making current 20/1 decent Ew value in the race.

The trainer tends to save his good horses for this meeting. With Hasita coming from a Derby winner, Harzand, I fancy this horse will outrun the odds and go very close.

A 60k yearling, fourth foal, dam unraced sister to Iberia, out of a Group 3 winner. Housed in a strong stable with J A Heffernan in the cockpit, should have plenty to say on debut.
