The INEOS era is officially underway at United with ten Hag leading the club to a shock victory against rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup Final last weekend.

Despite reports that ten Hag may be sacked in the coming days, The Independent say that the FA Cup victory has seen support grow for the Dutchman within United hierarchy.

Reports suggested ten Hag was on his way out on eve of FA Cup Final victory over Man City

Friday night saw a whole wave of reports come through across a variety of sources saying that Erik ten Hag would be sacked by the club after the FA Cup Final.

United though defied the odds with a tactical masterclass by ten Hag seeing them beat Pep Guardiola's City side 2-1 at Wembley to lift their 13th FA Cup.

That win may well have saved ten Hag in his role as United manager but the latest odds say there's a 69.2% chance that he will still be sacked this summer.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is now the clear favourite to take over at Man United next after he departed Chelsea earlier this month.

Pochettino leaving Chelsea was seen as a big shock after a strong second half of the season saw the Blues finish in sixth place in the Premier League table.

It may well be now that he comes straight back into management in the Premier League by taking over at Old Trafford to replace Erik ten Hag next.
