The UK & Ireland are a heavy 1/20 favourite to host the Euros in 2028
According to various reports, the UK and Republic of Ireland are due to be confirmed as the hosts of the 2028 Euro Championships.
Three confirmed bids at the end of March included the UK & Ireland bid, as well as one from Russia and one from Turkey.
Bookies however feel that the joint bid by England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland is nailed on to win it, with odds of 1/20.
That gives a percentage chance of a successful bid at just over 95% according to the odds, with other bids expected to fail.
Turkey are the second favourite to host the tournament
Turkey are second favourites to host the 2028 Euro's at odds of 12/1, but still a long way off the odds compared to the UK and Ireland bid.
Turkey's bid is the sixth consecutive bid for the Euro's, having been unsuccessful on the last 5 occasions in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024.
Winning Euro 2028 Host | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
UK & Ireland | 1/20 | 95.2% |
Turkey | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Russia | 14/1 | 6.7% |
With just a 7.7% chance of hosting the tournament according to bookmakers, it looks like Turkey will be unsuccessful for a sixth time when it comes to their bids.
The country is set to host the 2023 Champions League Final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
Romania, Greece, Bulgaria & Serbia change their bid
Romania, Greece, Bulgaria & Serbia were due to have a bid for the 2028 Euro's go ahead, but they now look to have changed their bid to the 2030 World Cup.
It's Morocco who are the favourites to win the 2030 World Cup bid though at odds of 5/2, so it may be tough for a joint bid to win that one.

Russia are the third bidder for the 2028 Euros tournament therefore, but have just a 6.7% chance of a successful bid according to bookmakers.
The current invasion of Ukraine has surely hindered any sort of bid by Russia though, with UEFA already changing the Champions League Final from Russia this year.
