Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom is the 6/4 favourite to win the dreaded Sack Race

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom remains top of the betting market to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked ahead of tough games for the Blades on the way.

The Blades face Bournemouth and Burnley in back-to-back six pointers and OLBG have taken a closer look at the betting market with bookmakers for the next manager to go ahead of those games.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is second favourite in the betting market with Paddy Power at 2/1 with a tricky run of games coming up for the Red Devils starting with Everton away.

Losses in some of their upcoming fixtures, including Galatasaray away which could see them dumped out of the Champions League, could signal the end for ten Hag.

Eddie Howe's odds shorten drastically in the past week

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has seen his odds shorten in the past week from as big as 50/1 to 7/1 following Newcastle's loss to Bournemouth last time out.

That loss saw captain Kieran Trippier seen arguing with fans after the game with Trippier telling fans that their injuries are a big reason why they lost.

Howe's odds though were cut down to 7/1 to leave next but despite that he's not expected to be under serious pressure as of yet with the Toon's owners understanding of the injury crisis.

Sheffield United still 1/6 favourites to be relegated this season

Sheffield United are still at the top of the betting market to be relegated from the Premier League this season after a dismal start.

Everton's odds have now shortened from 6/1 into 2/1 following the Toffee's 10 point deduction by the Premier League on Friday.

The Toffees were given an immediate 10-point penalty by the Premier League after they were found to have breached the profit and sustainability rules that the league has in place.

Now Sean Dyche's men have a 33% chance of being relegated down to the Championship according to the latest betting market.
