TalkSPORT reported on Monday that Luton will trigger the ÂŁ100,000 release clause after holding talks with Bloomfield over the weekend.
Luton are looking for a replacement for Rob Edwards after he left the club by mutual consent last week with the Hatters 20th in the Championship.
