Australian Kevin Muscat is now into 4/1 with bookies to be the next Rangers manager after reports on Monday morning stating that he is interested in the role having just won the Japanese title with Yokohama F. Marinos.

Reports on Monday linked Muscat with the Rangers job with Talksport saying that the Australian is interested in the vacant role following Michael Beale's departure on Sunday.

Michael Beale was sacked by Rangers on Sunday after 10 months in charge of the club, with the Gers already seven points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table.

Steven Davis has now took over temporarily as part of the interim managerial group at Rangers ahead of their Europa League game against Aris Limassol on Thursday.
