Betting odds now offered on who will take over as next Preston manager
With just one game played in the EFL Championship so far this season we already have our first managerial casualty with Preston manager Ryan Lowe departing on Monday.
Betting Sites are already offering odds on who will be the man to replace Lowe with some big names featuring in the betting market to take over at Deepdale.
Mike Marsh, Peter Murphy and Ched Evans will take charge of Preston for the games against Sunderland and Swansea as the club look to get a full appointment in the coming weeks.
BetVictor have installed David Moyes as 4/1 in the market to take over at Preston and make a shock return to the club.
Selection | Probability | Odds | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Paul Heckingbottom | 50% | 2 |
2 | Brian Barry Murphy | 50% | 2 |
3 | David Healy | 4.8% | 21 |

What the expert says...
Bookies make David Moyes one of the favourites in the market to return to the scene of his first managerial job after spending four years at Deepdale from 1998-2002.
Ryan Lowe left his role as Preston manager by mutual consent
Preston North End announced on Monday morning that manager Ryan Lowe had left his role by mutual consent after just one game of the season.
Preston were booed off the pitch on Friday evening after losing 2-0 in their opening game against Sheffield United and that defeat was ultimately Lowe's final game in charge.
Lowe has been as the club since December 2021 and leaves his side on the eve of their EFL Cup First Round game at home to Sunderland on Tuesday evening.
