Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper is now 8/13 to be the next manager to be sacked

Betting remains open on who will be the next Premier League manager to be sacked and it's Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper who is the bookmakers favourite to go next.

Cooper has been under pressure from Forest bosses according to recent reports in the past fortnight but their 1-1 draw away to Wolves was expected to relieve that pressure.

Friday night though saw Tottenham visit the City Ground and run out convincing 2-0 winners against Cooper's side and this has now heaped the pressure back on the manager.

BetVictor's latest betting odds put the Forest manager as the clear favourite to leave his role next at 8/13 with Manchester United's Erik ten Hag second favourite at 4/1.

These odds suggest a 61% chance that Cooper is the next manager to go with the betting market hinting that there may be a departure before Christmas.

Erik ten Hag second favourite after Man United's 0-0 draw away at Liverpool on Sunday

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag had seen his odds slashed to 2/1 this time last week after his side were thumped 3-0 at home to Bournemouth.

Fast forward a week later though and ten Hag now drifts out to 4/1 but this will likely be down to Cooper shortening in the market rather than his own stance becoming safer.

United got a great point at Anfield on Sunday though with ten Hag's side drawing 0-0 in a game which a lot of people were expecting them to get battered like last season's 7-0 defeat.

Sheffield United remain 1/12 to be relegated this season

Bookies are also offering odds on who will be relegated from the Premier League this season with Sheffield United remaining the clear favourites to go down.

The betting market has had the Blades at 1/12 to go down for the last month and those odds have stayed that way after their 2-0 loss away at Chelsea on Saturday.

Luton Town and Burnley follow in the betting odds with bookmakers expected the three promoted sides from last season to go straight back down this year.

Nottingham Forest have come into 2/1 after a tough run of form has seen them slide down to 17th place in the Premier League table.
