Southampton boss Russell Martin is now 4/6 favourite to be the first manager to leave this season

Betting odds are now available on who will be the first Premier League manager to leave their role this season with still no managerial casualties after the 8th gameweek.

Southampton are still without a win in the Premier League this season and their 3-2 defeat to Leicester on Sunday saw them concede the winner in the 98th minute, with UK Betting Sites now making Russell Martin the favourite to go.

Martin, Saints manager, didn't hold back on his criticism of his players after the game specifically targeting one saying, "One person had one job to do to stop that goal and they didn't".

This has instantly led to fans speculating that those comments could start to turn on the manager and time could well be running out on his reign in charge.

BetVictor have now moved Martin into 4/6 favourite to be the first manager to go this season with those odds suggesting a 60% chance of him leaving his role.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag remains a short price in the market

Despite winning at home to Brentford on Saturday, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag remains the second favourite in the market to be the next manager to go.

Speculation surrounded Ten Hag's time in charge of the club coming to an end after United's poor start to the season with OLBG reporting on him moving into favourite to leave earlier this month.

Further struggles in the coming weeks could well see the Old Trafford faithful decide to get rid of the Dutch manager and the latest odds make him the 3/1 second favourite.

Southampton are the betting favourites to be relegated

Southampton are now the heavy favourites to be relegated after making just one point in their opening eight games, with bookies now putting them clear at 1/5 in the betting market.

The Saints are well clear of every other team in the dreaded relegation market with fellow promoted teams Ipswich and Leicester second and third favourites in the odds list respectively.

Wolves have now shortened into 6/5 to go down after their terrible start to the season continued with just a point won so far seeing them sit rock bottom of the Premier League table.
