Scott Parker was dismissed from his role on Tuesday after Bournemouth's 9-0 loss to Liverpool

Despite Brendan Rodgers being the heavy odds on favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave, it was Scott Parker who won the dreaded sack race.

Parker was around 11/2 to be dismissed early on Tuesday morning before the news broke.

Bournemouth have won one and lost three so far this season, with their defeats coming against Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.

The sacking of Parker in that sense seems harsh and time will only tell if it was the right one.

Updated relegation odds for the Premier League

The Cherries are the heavy favourites to be relegated this season at odds of 1/3 with the implied probability it happens at 75%.

They currently sit outside of the relegation zone in the Premier League in 17th place on three points.

Everton, Wolves and Leicester all sit behind Bournemouth in the table at 18th, 19th and 20th respectively.

Premier League Relegation Odds Probability
Bournemouth 1/3 75.0%
Nottingham Forest 11/8 42.1%
Southampton 15/8 34.8%
Everton 2/1 33.3%
Fulham 5/2 28.6%

Bournemouth are the heavy 1/3 favourite to be relegated from the Premier League this season, with whoever comes into the managerial role given a tricky task of keeping them up.
