English actor Theo James is now 7/4 to be the next James Bond after bookmakers slashed his odds to get the famous role in the past week.
James turned 40 in December and he has featured towards the top of the betting market in reason months to play Bond next with bosses still yet to announce Daniel Craig's replacement.
Now the betting market has seen James' odds slashed from 7/2 to just 7/4 to play the iconic spy next with a 36% chance given he gets the role according to the odds.
William Hill's latest market has seen former favourite Paul Mescal now drift out to 2/1 in the odds list with the top three in the betting extremely tight.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has moved back into favourite in the market to play James Bond after he was asked about the role earlier this month.
Taylor-Johnson appeared on US talk show Good Morning America with Host Michael Strahan asking him, "There’s been a lot of speculation about the next 007... Would you slip on the tuxedo, if asked?".
The British actor coyly danced around the question with his answer, "I wear a tuxedo in this [film, Kraven the Hunter]. You should come see this movie. Honestly, it’s got a ton of action and it’s a thrill ride honestly."
Since that interview, bookies have moved him back into evens favourite to grab the role with no announcement made as of yet.
