  • Everton looking for new manager after the dismissal of Rafa Benitez
  • Vítor Pereira is 1/2 favourite to manage Everton with reports linking him to job!
  • Wayne Rooney priced at 6/1 by bookmakers to move from Championship side Derby back to his boyhood club
  • Toffees Legend and current interim Duncan Ferguson is also 6/1 to step up to the role

Everton FC are currently drifting dangerously close to the relegation positions at the foot of the English Premier League table and the dismissal of Rafa Benitez means that bookmakers are offering odds on who will be the next permanent manager after the Spaniard.

Next Everton Manager Betting Odds

Candidate Odds Probability
Vitor Pereira 4/11 73.3%
Duncan Ferguson 6/1 14.3%
Wayne Rooney 6/1 14.3%
Frank Lampard 8/1 11.1%
Fabio Cannavaro 12/1 7.7%

Whilst it looks as though 3 from Norwich, Newcastle and Burnley who occupy the basement spots and Watford just above them, are destined to dive to the Championship, as the end of the season nears and things get a little more frantic, one or two wrong steps and the Toffees could find themselves in a sticky situation and we now see activity in the Next Everton Manager betting odds market

Rafa Benitez was the 6th manager in 8 seasons for Everton since David Moyes departure after 11 years in charge. The Goodison faithful will be seeing a 7th soon with Vítor Pereira the heavy favourite to take over.

Benitez was brought in to bolster the side, but the position is worse than before and with the transfer window open, this looks like the prime time to for the board to make changes required to stay up.

Next Manager Will be.........

As always there are a host of names being bandied around as Rafa's replacement, which always happens when a manager is dismissed in the Premier League. They include Fabio Cannavaro, and former Premier Everton wonderkid Wayne Rooney or Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

Goodison stalwart Duncan Ferguson who is currently assistant at the club would surely relish the challenge, although possibly not in the best position to secure the spot as he's been part of several failing management teams at the club now.

Wayne Rooney became a star at Everton at just 16 in just 2 seasons before Manchester United snapped him up in a deal the Toffees couldn't refuse. He had one season back in 2017/18 and now could be set to depart Derby County if the Job was offered.

Everton have a habit of regular manager changes, David Moyes remained in place for some 11 years from 2002 until 2013, but since then, Benitez was the 6th manager in 8 seasons at the club and will be being replaced by a 7th.
