Graham Potter is now the evens favourite to replace Gareth Southgate as the next England manager

We now have a new favourite in the betting market to be the next England manager with Graham Potter now evens to replace Gareth Southgate in one of the biggest roles in International football.

The move into favourite for Potter comes after a surge of bets saw Betfair slash his odds from 4/1 yesterday morning to evens, with 5 of the previous 10 bets placed on the market going on Potter.

Betting sites have long been offering the market for Gareth Southgate's replacement and the conversation picked up on Sunday evening with England looking like losing their Round of 16 tie against Slovakia.

Jude Bellingham though came up clutch for Southgate and the Three Lions and likely saved the England manager's job with fans regularly calling for him to get the sack throughout the Euros so far after some poor performances.

Southgate looks likely to leave his role as England boss after the Euros

Gareth Southgate said before the Euros kicked off that he is unsure of what his future holds as England manager, with FA Chief Executive Mark Bullingham saying that they will sit with Southgate after the tournament.

Speculation has surrounded Southgate since the start of the year with the England boss linked with taking over at Manchester United but they have decided to stick with Erik ten Hag going into the new season.

“Gareth has been really, really clear that he wants to talk about it after the tournament. I don’t want to provide any distraction for him and the team," said Bullingham.
