Thomas Tuchel moves into 6/4 to be the next England manager with bookmakers changing the market right around

German Thomas Tuchel is now the 6/4 favourite to be the next England manager after UK Betting Sites slashed his odds following the Three Lions loss to Greece.

Lee Carsley’s interim role looks like it could be coming to an end after the defeat on Thursday evening and his odds have now drifted in the market from the 1/4 he was at last week to a 7/4 second favourite now.

Bet365’s latest odds now give an implied probably of 40% that Tuchel takes over as manager of the Three Lions next with the FA having massive decisions to make around Gareth Southgate's permanent successor.

Carsley looked like having the job all but sealed before the start of this International break but that 2-1 defeat to Greece, which probably should have been heavier, has instantly put question marks around his chances with England fans.

Lee Carsley told press after loss that "Hopefully I'll be going back to the U21's"

Lee Carsley surprised England fans after Thursday night’s loss by admitting that he would like to go back to managing the U21’s.

Carsley spoke to the press after his England team were beaten by Greece saying, "Hopefully I'll be going back to the U21's" which sees doubt around his want for the main role.

This has unsurprisingly now seen his odds drift right out to 7/4 now to get the England job with the FA already potentially having a plan set that sees Carsley go back to the U21 managerial role in future.

Pep Guardiola's odds shorten into 4/1 to be England boss next

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has seen his odds shorten into 4/1 to take over as England manager with the role one that he has repeatedly been linked to in the past.

Reports throughout the past 6 months have said that Guardiola is the number one target for the FA but his role with Manchester City would be hard to take him from.

City's Director of Football Txiki Begiristain's departure from the club has now put question marks around Guardiola's future in Manchester though with the two close friends ever since Barcelona days.

Bookmakers now make it a 20% chance that Pep Guardiola is made the next England manager with the odds seeing him as the third favourite in the betting market to get the role.
