Graham Potter is the 3/1 favourite to be the next England manager after Gareth Southgate

New Chelsea manager Graham Potter is the 3/1 favourite with bookmakers to be the next England manager after Gareth Southgate.

Southgate is under pressure from England fans after no wins in the first 4 Nations League games for the Three Lions.

BetVictor make Potter the favourite with Mauricio Pochettino 5/1 to be the England manager next with the Argentinian currently without a club.

Next England Manager Odds Probability
Graham Potter 3/1 25.0%
Mauricio Pochettino 5/1 16.7%
Eddie Howe 6/1 14.3%
Steve Cooper 10/1 9.1%
Pep Guardiola 12/1 7.7%

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has long been around the top of the betting odds to be the next England manager.

Howe's reign at the Toon has so far been successful with Newcastle becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.

Graham Potter is the bookies favourite to be the next England manager, with the betting odds giving him a 25% chance of taking over from Southgate next.

Gareth Southgate under increasing pressure going into the World Cup

Gareth Southgate is under increasing pressure as England manager after the last international break ended with his team losing 4-0 to Hungary.

The four game international break saw England lose twice to Hungary, with draws against Germany and Italy in the middle of those fixtures.

Gareth Southgate Betting Specials Odds Probability
Southgate to leave his role before the 2022 World Cup 5/2 28.6%
England to lose their next 2 Nations League games 5/1 16.7%
England to lose or draw their 3 World Cup Group games 16/1 5.9%
England to lose their 3 World Cup Group games 100/1 1.0%

The betting specials that are available are fairly negative when it comes to the end of Southgate's reign, with a lot of England fans already calling for him to be sacked.

Bookies give just a 1% chance that England have a terrible World Cup though and lose all three fixtures against Iran, USA and Wales.

The pressure is mounting on Southgate after no Nations League wins in the first 4 games so far this campaign.

Southgate's latest England squad will be announced on Thursday

Gareth Southgate will announce his England squad for the Nations League games against Italy and Germany in September's International break.

England's usual number 1 keeper Jordan Pickford will be out through injury so it may give a potential goalkeeper a chance of getting the main spot.

Jude Bellingham put in another great performance against Man City for Dortmund in the Champions League this midweek and he's a favourite for the squad.

Southgate has a selection headache with players like Harry Maguire not getting constant game time but he make stick with them through loyalty.
