Mark Robins sacked with Sky Blues sitting in 17th place in Championship table
Mark Robins was shockingly sacked as Coventry manager on Thursday morning with the club's board stating that they are unhappy with the current form shown by the side.
In a statement on the club's website Coventry said, "The Club is well aware that this is a difficult moment after over seven very successful years at the helm and this decision is not taken lightly.
"The performance of the team over an extended period however have just not been good enough and as such the board of the Club has decided to make an immediate change in leadership."
Rhys Carr has been appointed as the club's Interim Head Coach until a full successor has been chosen.

England interim manager Lee Carsley also features in market
Lee Carsley has history with Coventry after playing for them during his career and coaching them as Caretaker manager in the early stages of his managerial career and he is second favourite for the job.
Carsley is currently interim boss of England but Thomas Tuchel coming in for the job means that he will either head back to the U21s or step into another role elsewhere next.
Coventry could be the perfect job for him due to his previous time at the club and bookmakers make him the second favourite at 6/1 to get the job.
