Lee Johnson is the 5/2 favourite with bookies to take over at Charlton after Dean Holden was sacked

Betting is now available on who will be the next Charlton manager following the sacking of Dean Holden after Charlton's poor start to the season sees the club sit in 19th place.

Bookies have placed Lee Johnson as the 5/2 favourite to take over the vacant position with Johnson himself sacked by Hibernian on Sunday after five defeats in nine games so far this season.

That hasn't stopped the betting market from putting him as favourite for the Charlton job with a 20% chance given on him going straight back into management with the Addicks.

BetVictor have a full market up for who the next Charlton boss will be with no concrete reports linking anyone to the job as of yet with it being early doors since Holden's dismissal.

Karl Robinson 5/1 16.7%

Karl Robinson is second favourite in the betting market

Karl Robinson is 5/1 in the betting market to take over at Charlton next with those odds putting him as second favourite behind Lee Johnson to take over the Addicks.

Robinson was most recently seen in football as Sam Allardyce's assistant in the ill-fated spell at Leeds United that saw them gain 1 point from a possible 12 in the final four games of the season.

The former Charlton manager would be making a return to the club that he was in charge of for 74 games between November 2016 and March 2018 and it would be a shock return.
