Sol Bamba now 4/6 favourite to take over as Cardiff manager next

Betting remains available for the next Cardiff manager and it's Sol Bamba who is still top of the market with UK Betting Sites having him as 4/6 favourite.

Bamba has been at the club as assistant manager since January this year, making his return having played 118 games for Cardiff over his 5 year spell there as a player from 2016 to 2021.

The former Bluebirds player was Sabri Lamouchi's number two and the club may well decide to offer him the job to replace Lamouchi, who left earlier this month.

BetVictor now say there's a 60% chance that Bamba gets the Cardiff job with his odds currently making him well clear at the top of the betting market.

Steve Morison second favourite in the market

Just last week WalesOnline reported that Steve Morison is under 'serious consideration' to take over at Cardiff once again 8 months on from when he was sacked.

According to those reports it is owner Vincent Tan who is keen on rehiring Morison but the longer it goes without actually happening sees less chance of it going through.

The latest betting odds suggest there's a 33% chance that Morison comes back to Cardiff for another spell in charge.

Nathan Jones has been a market mover in the past few days

Nathan Jones is the third favourite in the betting to become the next Cardiff manager and it could be a job that is close to his heart.

Jones was instantly linked to taking over as the Cardiff boss with the Rhondda-born manager and in the past he has said that he would find it hard to turn it down.

The former Southampton boss has been linked with Swansea too in recent weeks and he could well take over at Cardiff's rivals next as he sits at 8/1 in the betting for that job.

Nathan Jones is the 5/1 third favourite in the market to take over at Cardiff and more links will likely happen between the club and manager in the next few days.
