Cowley is joint towards the top of the market by David Artell and Kevin McDonald who are included in the odds with BetVictor to take over the Bantams next with the next appointment a massive one for the club.

The Bantams currently find themselves sat in 18th spot in League Two which is a long way off from the play-off spots that they would have been aiming for once again this campaign.

Mark Hughes was sacked by the Bantams after poor start to season

Bradford were booed off on Saturday after their 3-1 home defeat to Walsall and that was followed by a 2-1 away loss to Tranmere which ultimately signalled the end of Mark Hughes spell at the club.

With just three wins in 11 games so far this season, the Bantams are a long way off the form that saw them reach the play-offs last season and the board ultimately decided to sack Hughes.

"After 11 league games we find ourselves a long way away from where we expect to be," said CEO Ryan Sparks in a statement released by the club on Wednesday evening.
