What the expert says...
John Coleman was sacked after long-standing time in charge of the club
Long-serving manager John Coleman was dismissed by the Accrington Stanley board at the weekend following the club's 4-0 thumping by Wrexham.
Coleman and assistant Jimmy Bell were both sacked by the club with a short two-sentence statement given for one of their longest serving managers.
The Liverpudlian took over at Accrington back in 1999 when the club was in non-league and got them into the Football League in 2006 before leaving in 2012.
Coleman took over at Rochdale and lasted just a year there before returning to Accrington in 2014 for a second spell in charge of the club.
