Lionel Messi is now 1/2 to stay at PSG with the superstar out of contract in the summer

Paris St-Germain forward Lionel Messi is just 1/2 with UK betting sites to stay at PSG beyond the summer with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.

Messi was booed by PSG fans at the weekend before their 2-0 loss to Rennes following frustration with his Champions League performance against Bayern Munich earlier this month.

Unibet say there's a 66% chance of Messi staying at PSG beyond this summer's window but it may be that the 35-year-old is looking for the next step in his career.

Messi won the 2022 World Cup but was signed by PSG as the final piece of the puzzle for the club to finally win the Champions League and that's a big reason why he was booed on Sunday.

Lionel Messi Next Club Odds Probability
Stay at PSG 1/2 66.7%
Inter Miami 6/4 40.0%
Al Hilal 9/4 22.2%
Barcelona

There's now a 66% chance that Lionel Messi stays at PSG beyond the summer window with Al Hilal now moving into 9/4 to sign the player!

Inter Miami are the favourite destination for Messi at 6/4

Inter Miami remain the favourites if Messi was to leave PSG when his contract expires in the summer following recent reports that a deal was agreed with the MLS side.

One source told The Athletic that a deal "was all but done" for Messi to join Inter Miami with Messi apparently being offered a small ownership stake in the club as part of the move.

Interestingly Al Hilal's odds have moved from 7/1 to just 9/4 in the past week with the Saudi side potentially looking to bring Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same league again.

Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr during the World Cup following his deal with Man United being terminated.

Boo-boys came for Messi following PSG being knocked out of the Champions League

PSG were one of the favourites to win the Champions League following the Group Stage but were knocked out by Bayern Munich earlier this month.

Bayern won the first leg in Paris 1-0 and the second leg was finely balanced but the German giants eventually ran out 2-0 winners after a strong second half.

The Parisians are 7 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 and are 1/50 to win the league this season with no distraction of the Champions League.

PSG are now as short as 1/50 to win the Ligue 1 title after the distraction of the Champions League was no more following their 3-0 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
