Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui is now as short as 13/8 to be the first manager to leave

Julen Lopetegui remains the favourite with UK Betting Sites to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season with the new campaign kicking off in just under two weeks.

Lopetegui was reportedly considering leaving Wolves towards the back end of last season according to the Daily Mail due to the club's FFP situation.

Wolves have a tricky opening to the season with an away game at Old Trafford to face Manchester United on the first Monday Night Football awaiting them.

Paddy Power have shortened Lopetegui's odds on being the first Premier League manager to go from 4/1 now to just 13/8 with those odds putting him clear at the top of the market.

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom is second favourite at 6/1

Paul Heckingbottom is the second favourite in the betting market to be the first manager to leave the Premier League this year as he gets ready to lead Sheffield United this season.

The Blades are odds-on to go down this season with the betting odds suggesting there's a 57% chance that they are relegated just behind Luton in the market.

Heckingbottom's odds have drifted slightly to be the first manager to leave with his odds moving from 5/1 to 6/1 in the last fortnight.

Luton Town remain odds-on favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season with their odds as short as 4/11 to go straight back down.

Luton are one of the shortest priced favourites for relegation that there has been in recent seasons and it'll take a huge campaign for them to stay up.

Despite those odds their manager Rob Edwards doesn't feature towards the top of the betting market to be the first manager sacked with his odds out at 12/1 to go first.
