Erling Haaland looks set to move away from Dortmund this Summer
In-demand forward Erling Haaland has a whole host of clubs looking to sign him this Summer.
Bookmakers have made Manchester City the clear favourites to sign the young Norwegian striker at odds of 9/4.
Haaland's father Alfe Inge is a former City player so it may be that Erling wants to follow in his father's footsteps.
Erling Haaland's next club | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Man City | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Real Madrid | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Chelsea | 4/1 | 20% |
Bayern Munich | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Barcelona | 15/2 | 11.8% |
Images of Haaland attending City games as a youngster have popped up on social media, only strengthening the chances of Haaland going there.
City fans will hope that they'll sign a striker with no replacement coming in for Sergio Aguero last Summer and the club playing without a recognised forward for the duration of the season.
Real Madrid second favourites to sign Haaland
Real Madrid are into second favourites to sign Haaland in the Summer, with the future of Kylian Mbappe up in the air at the moment.
Reports suggested that Real had agreed a pre-agreement with Mbappe to sign the French forward on a free in the Summer.
The recent Champions League tie between PSG and Real Madrid though might have changed things, with Mbappe scoring the winner in a 1-0 win where the French side looked far better than the Spanish giants.
Latest reports now point to Mbappe being offered a new €1m a week deal at PSG and therefore leaving Real Madrid with a hole up front that needs to be filled.
The Mbappe budget therefore could go onto signing Erling Haaland this Summer and at odds of 7/2 betting sites think that they're just behind City in terms of their chances.
Could Haaland stay in Germany?
All signs point to Haaland leaving Dortmund in the Summer, so staying at the Bundesliga side doesn't look like a possibility.
The forward could however move across the country to Bayern Munich, where they could look to replace an ageing Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski himself made the Dortmund to Bayern move and Haaland could well follow his footsteps.
At odds of 5/1 though, bookies feel there is just a 16% chance of that happening.
