  • Eddie Howe is the 6/4 favourite with bookies to become the next Newcastle manager
  • Steve Bruce now 5/2 to be the first manager to leave in the Premier League
  • Newcastle into odds on at 10/11 to be relegated this season

Eddie Howe bookmakers favourite for the Newcastle manager's job

Newcastle have started the season winless after 6 games, with 3 draws and 3 losses. Bruce replied to the Newcastle fans who were chanting for him to leave after Saturday's 1-1 draw vs Watford, saying "it's difficult, but that's all it is, noise."

Former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is the 6/4 favourite with bookies to take the Newcastle job next, with the English boss being without a club since leaving the Cherries in 2020.

Steve Bruce's assistant manager Graeme Jones is the second favourite in the market at 5/2 with Jones having an apparent big impact on the Toon when he came into the club last year.

Frank Lampard also features in the market for the next Newcastle manager, without a club since he left Chelsea back in January this year. Lampard will be looking for a return to management after a tricky end to his Chelsea reign.

Next Newcastle Manager Odds Probability
Eddie Howe 6/4 40%
Graeme Jones 5/2 28.6%
Chris Wilder 4/1 20%
Roberto Martinez 10/1 9.1%
Frank Lampard 12/1 7.7%

Steve Bruce into 5/2 to be the first manager dismissed

After Newcastle's tough start, Bruce has seen his side slip down to 17th place in the Premier League table and more and more fans are turning on him every week.

'#BruceOut' seems to be a top trending topic on Twitter every single weekend and if Newcastle continue to struggle, Mike Ashley may have no option but to change manager.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was the favourite to be sacked with bookmakers for the last few weeks, but a turnaround in the Gunners form has seen the Spaniard come out to 11/2 to leave.

Steve Bruce finds himself the favourite to lose his job first in the Premier League this season at 5/2 after Newcastle's tough start to their campaign.

Newcastle odds on to be relegated this season

Newcastle now find themselves at odds on favourites with betting sites to be one of the three teams to be relegated from the Premier League this season.

With odds of 10/11, bookmakers give the probability chance that Newcastle go down this season at 52.4%.

Norwich have been the worst team in the league so far this year and it's no surprise that they're 1/3 to go straight back down to the Championship after 6 losses in their first 6 games.

With Wolves, Spurs, Palace and Chelsea on the way for Newcastle, it looks like it's not getting any easier for the Toon this season.
