Liverpool clear favourites to win the Champions League this season

Liverpool are now the clear favourites with UK Betting Sites to win this season's Champions League with betting odds now given on the outright market for Europe’s top competition.

The Reds were beaten 3-2 by PSV in the final game of the group stage after playing a weakened side but that didn’t change their final position.

That now sees them go straight through to the Round of 16 stage of the competition and they sit as the clear favourites to win their 7th European Cup.

Bet365, official partners of the Champions League, have the Reds at 9/2 to win the competition which gives an implied probability of 18.2% of them winning.

Man City snuck through to the knockout phase play-off with final matchday win

Manchester City's 3-1 win at home to Club Brugge on the final matchday of the Group Stage saw them squeeze through to the knockout phase play-off of the competition.

City have struggled for form both domestically and in Europe this season and they will now face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the knockout play-off.

This has seen them drift out from favourites back in Matchday 3 to the 8/1 5th favourites that they currently are in the latest market.

Robert Lewandowski favourite to be Top Goalscorer in the competition this season

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski is the 9/4 favourite to be the Top Goalscorer in the Champions League this season with 9 goals scored by the player so far.

That figure sees him sit alongside Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy as joint top of the goals scored this season but bookmakers expect Lewandowski to take the top goalscorer crown according to the odds.

Erling Haaland is the 5/1 second favourite despite being 3 goals behind Lewandowski and Guirassy with just 6 goals but he will have 2 extra games over the Barcelona striker to play with the knockout stage on the way.
