The leading payment platform – and the company who owns the likes of Skrill and Neteller – published its recent report, surveying 3,4000 sports betters from around the globe. The data gathered from the report displays the importance in giving users a variety of payment options, including local payment methods, as well as alternative ones.

Any delays to this process risks driving players to other competitors. On top of this, 73% of players now expect real-time payments to be commonplace across the industry within the next two years.
This year, 34% of global bettors identified quick and easy payouts as their top criterion, underscoring the importance of seamless transactions in shaping player decisions. In North America, particularly in states like New York and Pennsylvania, this percentage rises to 42%, reflecting the increasing demand for fast and reliable access to winnings.
Away from payment options, Paysafe also asked about the importance of other factors when it comes to choosing a sportsbook to bet with. Top of this list was promotions and offers, as well as loyalty programmes, but interestingly, cash out options for active bets is a key factor for nearly a third of those surveyed.
