Raammee was too fresh to do himself justice in the Whitsun Cup last time, but with that run behind him he should be more tractable this time. With the Varian/Dawson combination in such irresistible form, I would be happy to get stuck in here.

Won at Chelmsford and doubled up in a Yarmouth handicap last month. Can go close here today, up in trip.

Three runs this year for the 4yo, a close 2nd of 13 and 2nd of 18 in his last two handicap races. His last run was in a strong £39K contest, and he did put some daylight back to the third. Could be set for another big run, and I feel the jockey change is positive.

The Ian Williams-trained Billy Loughlane-ridden Shafdar got no kind of run in a big handicap at Ascot last time out. His performance at Epsom the time before, when he gave 8 lb and was beaten 0.75 lengths by Sweet Reward, is a much better barometer of both his ability and his potential. Sweet Reward went on to win his next two, rising 12 lb in the rankings to a mark of 88. Shafdar, off 89, looks to have an excellent each-way chance.

I have been all over this fella this season after catching my eye big time on seasonal reappearance and I really fancied him for the @Olbg very own sponsored race in April at Newbury on next start. Was only 12th there but wasn't beaten far and that form has been working out well. Was then 7th in another competitive handicap at Newmarket before again running well here over C&D with a staying on third and off the same mark now has to be the ew bet. 3lb higher still than last win last spring at Salisbury but has changed yards and gets the first time cheek pieces slapped on so hopefully a change of scenery can work the oracle for another cliff horse for me. Showed handled track last time and though up a notch in grade hopefully might get a stronger pace to aim at and stay on well again for a place at least. Yard in fair form and had a winner yesterday so hopefully can eke out a bit of improvement in this race they had the third in last season.

Runner-up on seasonal reappearance before going one better when winning an apprentice race at Ascot last time out. Looked to have plenty more to come that day and looks a big price for each-way purposes, receiving weight all round and with many bookies paying out on extra places.

I think Hard Endeavor may come to life here. Down the field in his only start this season, but he had a very bad draw and probably needed the run, so was not given a hard time. Lots in here with something to prove, but no eyecatchers, so Hard Endeavor at 22/1 looks a decent punt.

I am going to side with Cash, who goes very well fresh. I believe he'll catch at least a placing today, considering he performs well when fresh. His last run was in September when he finished second, so I believe he'll do well for that reason.

Was returning from a seven-month break at Goodwood a month ago when fifth of nine over 10f, keeping on without coming under too much pressure. Has shown his best form over longer trips, so it’s a little surprising to see him dropping back to a mile, so might be settling for minor honours.

Sean managed a win in six efforts in handicap company at Meydan over the winter, which shows on his day the nine-year-old is still a force to be reckoned with. By high-class miler Excelebration and has shown form at a high level, although consistency is not a strong point. Returns to turf for the first time in 90 days off a workable mark of 92. Saffie Osborne rides for Jamie Osborne. Choice of Topspeed in the Racing Post. Not ruled out in this company.
