5:00 Salisbury Tips

Very well backed horse, a promising reappearance lately at York running on nicely and has some of the best form on offer in this race.

Bell Shot has some value here. He won the last race and has 5 wins at this distance. He has a good jockey for this race.

This is a selection from a micro angle I follow that does okay over time. But today's conditions should suit, so it's worth a go at the odds.

I dithered over Crimson Spirit for this, but at 2/1 or shorter, there is nothing there for me. Jack Callan has caught the eye in recent weeks, and his 7 lbs off puts this horse right in the mix here. Needs to settle and ideally let others lead rather than fight them for it, but if they can save enough, that weight off may swing it.

Little Boy Blue comes good at this time of year, winning at Epsom off 78 last July and off 79 at Chepstow in June 23. He had a prep run last month, so should be fit enough to make a place at least today off 76.

No show on stable debut Lto, but has some solid form here @ Salisbury last season off much higher marks than today's 62. Under used jockey who was on board for one of those runs back up and trainer is 1/3 with her 4yo plus last 5 seasons, making current 50/1 worth Ew consideration in the race.
