15-2 looks a fair price about Under The Twilight who won a six furlong contest at Windsor quite convincingly two weeks ago. This is a good deal more competitive but has a very good draw in stall 27. The 8yo mare by Twilight Son was beaten a neck in the Class 3 fillies handicap at the meeting last season off a 4 pounds higher handicap mark. Good market support for a trainer, Michael Blake, that I don't know much about but stats and performance of some of the stable's winners suggest I should.

Supreme King looks capable of landing the 5.00 at Goodwood after shaping like a horse with more to offer. A strong traveller who should be suited by Goodwood's demanding finish, he has the pace to hold a good position before producing a late challenge. If building on his recent form, he has every chance of coming out on top.

Unexposed at this distance in handicaps and has won last 2 races at this trip and is just 4lbs above last winning mark. The run 4th LTO @Newmarket from this mark has been truly franked with Flight Control and Toastmaster running well @York on Saturday and the front 2 in that Newmarket race were progressive types.

Sir Garfield has been an ulta consistent front runner that will be sited by this course and can be competitive in an open handicap.

His last win may have come almost 12 months ago in a handicap at Newbury, but he has placed three times since, including in a competitive race at York where he finished 2nd of 20. He is back down to the same mark as that day and has a good chance with Billy Loughnane on board.

Three career runs for the 3yo filly. A decent debut last Sept. Excuses on soft ground when last seen. She was a close runner-up on her return this year in a maiden race over 7f, showing a high cruising speed and only caught late on. The form seems fine. She's had a nice ten week break, open to any amount of improvement, good jockey booking and has an attrcative opening handicap mark. The drop down to 6f should suit her.

His proven ability at this distance and recent wins make him a noteworthy option for those looking for a value each-way bet at 20/1, despite the stiff competition.

Rory Rocket has won 3 of his 15 starts, with all 3 wins coming in his last 5 starts. He won at Kempton in April before two wins at Brighton. The second of those wins three weeks ago was by a convincing 7.5 lengths off a mark of 65. He was slightly disappointing at Salisbury a week later but was too keen and would have raced without cover. This big field should help, and though up another 4 lbs it would be no surprise were he to go close. He looks like a good EW bet with 6 places on offer.

A lot of horses that like to force the pace should make this a lively affair which should suit Tex dropping in trip after winning over a mile at Ascot just 5 days ago.

He is a three-time winner on the flat, with the most recent of those coming in a Class 2 at Nottingham just five starts ago. He hasn't shown much since, but the handicapper has been very lenient. He is now 3 lbs lower than that win and is in Class 4 company today, so has an excellent chance.
