4:20 Catterick Tips

It's always a bit concerning reading that a horse has finished second on his last three starts because doubt about resolution inevitably creeps in. Cosmic Soul doesn't look overly pacy, but this race might not take a lot of winning. Jason Hart could be the jockey to get the best from the selection.

Wannabeawallaby is in stall 6, trained by Dylan Cunha and ridden by David Egan. Still a maiden after 21 runs but has placed five times in handicaps, including when third over 2m1f at Bath last time having been sent off favourite. Stays well and acts on good ground. His current mark of 46 looks about right here. Has placed twice at this 2m trip and goes well in this grade. The draw is fine, the yard is in decent form.

Myboymax is a 7-year-old gelding trained by Micky Hammond and ridden by 3lb apprentice Aiden Brookes. He is 6/54 wins and a two-time winner at Catterick, once over CD in the latest of those wins on good to firm ground (won three times on this surface) off 57 (Aiden used his 3lb claim) - so he's 1lb below the last winning mark. He comes to hand this time of year, winning 5/6 races in June/July/August. Incidentally, Aiden Brookes has won on Myboymax in all of his 6 wins and placed a further 9 times from 38 rides. Aiden is 6/14 wins in handicaps of 12f or morevfor Hammond if sent off in the top three in the betting, winning on Bonne Vitesse, Stella Masterpiece on three occasions, and Justice twice. Aiden must adore this horse and must hold every chance to make it winner 7/39 wins when they combine.

Star Of Jupiter is the type of longshot who might sneak into contention if things fall into place. Despite poor recent form figures, the horse has run in slightly tougher races and has dropped down to a very winnable level. He’s drawn reasonably, and Cam Hardie is a jockey capable of timing a late run. If the favorites get into a speed duel, Star Of Jupiter could capitalize late. Recommended Bet: Star Of Jupiter

This one's stable is going extremely well with their small amount of runners, and I'm hoping this gelding can continue the run. He's still a maiden but ran very well last time and could be ready to shine from his basement mark.
