The yard's form at the course is what attracts me to this one as they do very well here. This gelding has already won over the course and distance off a one-pound lower mark.

Highland Earl is a 5-year-old gelding trained by Liam P. Cusack. He has yet to trouble the judge in five starts hurdling and has dropped to a career-low handicap mark of 85. Liam P. Cusack has picked up 5 winners from his last 14 runners at Sligo, so he clearly targets this meeting. Highland Earl's mark of 85 should be workable given he's a fifth foal and half-brother to two winning hurdlers who posted career-high RPR of 122-124. He could play a big part today under Richard Deegan.

With the stable in very good form, it might be worth a small interest on this seven-year-old who has become very well handicapped. The extra furlong here should be a plus.
