Points winner who was a winner over fences for the first time at Limerick in May. No surprise to see following up if in the same form.

Bay gelding sired by Leading Light, who won over hurdles at Listowel with Richard Deegan in the saddle, who is back in the saddle today. West Clare has raced three times over fences. After falling on his first in this sphere, he has shown progress with sixth and second places. Hopefully, today can be his day to land his mark over fences.

The model I run suggests Kalnoo can win this one. Kalnoo lines up here with a comparably high RPR to the other runners in this larger 15 horse field, but has an official ranking that leaves him well treated off this mark. Steps out carrying only 6 lbs more than the bottom weight but over 2 stone less to the top weight. Plenty of placing ability with figures of 33-435 but needs to show some more improvement to get over the line first. Model has issued a 'very low' stake indicator which translates to a 0.5pt bet on a scale of 0-4.

I was going to leave this card alone (& probably should, When will I ever learn?) but Daniel Towards 11 year old Veteran Gelding LIKABLE CHANCER looks too big a price (currently 33/1) to pass up. This Son of GOLD WELL is still currently sitting 9lbs heavier than his last win BUT has placed 8 times on marks ranging from 81-86 what I should be saying is this charge can certainly be competitive from today's mark returning back to his preferred tall timber & wont mind a bit of cut in the ground. Jockey Daniel King has a 30% place strike rate here at Killarney the past 5 years & 37.50% when riding for this yard the past year. Returning back to Fences is certainly a plus, do I think this old boy will win I'm not totally sure but can he make a nuisance of himself & land some prize money? That I'd feel a little more confident in & with 4 places on offer I'll take a chance.
