Both sides carry attacking threat, but Ipswich’s defense can be breached while Portsmouth’s backline rarely holds out for the full ninety.

Pompey look capable of causing a few shocks and surprises this season but lack consistency. They seem to raise their game for the bigger games. Ipswich, who gained their first win of the season last time (vs a poor Sheffield United), could get caught out today.

Both teams to score looks very likely here because Ipswich create chances consistently and rarely fail to net at Portman Road, while Portsmouth have found the net in most of their away games this season. That balance supports the 1-1 outcome perfectly.
