We’ve also put a huge focus on presentation, the soundtrack, visuals and pacing all work together to create something that feels genuinely immersive rather than just another branded game.

Q: Ronaldinho is one of the most iconic footballers of all time. How did the partnership come about and what makes him the right fit for Booming Games?

Q: This isn’t your first release featuring Ronaldinho. How does Streetball Bonanza differ in comparison to Ronaldinho Spins and Ronaldinho Scores Shoot & Win?
CA: “Each Ronaldinho release we’ve developed has had its own personality, and with Streetball Bonanza, we really wanted to push that even further.
Ronaldinho Spins and Ronaldinho Scores Shoot & Win leaned more towards traditional football presentation and structure, whereas Streetball Bonanza is deliberately more modern, urban and stylised.
Visually, it has a much bolder identity. Mechanically, the Scatter Pays system, cascading wins and multiplier potential create a very different rhythm and gameplay flow compared to the previous titles.
This game feels faster, more energetic and more expressive, which honestly reflects Ronaldinho himself perfectly.”
Q: Do you feel any additional pressure when releasing new games featuring Ronaldinho in comparison to releasing a brand-new slot that doesn’t feature anyone’s likeness?
CA: “Definitely, because expectations are naturally higher.
When you work with someone as globally recognisable as Ronaldinho, players immediately come in with certain expectations around quality, entertainment and authenticity. You can’t rely on the name alone. In fact, I’d argue branded games receive more scrutiny than standard releases because players expect them to justify the partnership.
That pressure is actually a positive thing though. It pushes us to elevate every aspect of the experience, from the gameplay and visuals right through to the soundtrack and overall presentation.
For us, the goal has always been to make sure the game would still stand out even without the Ronaldinho branding attached to it.”
Q: If you had to sum up exactly why players should try Ronaldinho’s Streetball Bonanza in one sentence, what would you say?

CA: “There are always a few strong teams going into the tournament: Spain, France, Brazil…dare I say England?! but if I had to pick one, I’d probably say Brazil, purely because that’s fitting considering we’re launching a Ronaldinho game this summer.”
