Timo Werner now 3/1 to stay at Chelsea this Summer
Chelsea forward Timo Werner has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the last week and bookies make him 3/1 to stay at the club this Summer.
The Premier League side will be looking to keep Werner for strength in depth, but the German striker stated he was unhappy in an interview last week.
Juventus are the favourites to sign Werner, who is reportedly on 270k a week and that could be a stumbling block in any transfer out of Chelsea.
Timo Werner Next Club | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Juventus | 1/1 | 50.0% |
RB Leipzig | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Stay at Chelsea | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Newcastle | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Bayern Munich | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Werner has struggled so far in his life at Chelsea with just 10 goals in 56 Premier League appearances for the club.
The striker is rumoured to be unhappy with his playing time at the Blues having started just 15 Premier League games last season.
Juventus are the favourite destination for Werner at evens
Italian giants Juventus are the evens favourites to sign Timo Werner this Summer with the club on the lookout for a striker.
Juventus went from 4/1 to evens in the betting market to sign Werner in the last 72 hours, but that may change within the next few days.
Reports from the Metro are suggesting that the Old Lady are looking to sign Liverpool's Roberto Firmino instead of Werner.
Firmino has just a year left on his contract so it would be easier to get a £19m deal over the line for him than go for Werner.
Newcastle have been linked with the forward and are 10/1 in the market
The Saudi era at Newcastle is into it's first summer transfer window and it feels like they're yet to have a big marquee signing yet.
Sven Botman has been the biggest signing of their window so far, having cost the club around £35m for the centre back.
It could be that Timo Werner would be a big coup for the Toon but bookies give just a 9.1% chance of that happening in this window.
A loan deal looks like the most popular option for any side signing Werner this Summer though due to his astronomical wages.
