Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan is now 14/1 to win the Sports Personality of the Year award
Ronnie O'Sullivan is a contender for this year's Sports Personality of the Year award as he looks to win his eighth World Snooker Championship in Sheffield later this month.
O'Sullivan was favourite for a big period of time last year before ultimately not even being nominated for the award but this year that may well change with another win at the Worlds.
Paddy Power's betting market currently has O'Sullivan at 14/1 to win the SPOTY award but those odds will likely come tumbling down if he wins the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible in the next 4 weeks.

What the expert says..
Luke Littler remains favourite with his Darts career continuing to shine this year
Luke Littler's impressive first big year in Darts has continued with back-to-back successes in the Premier League Darts calendar.
Littler lost 6-3 in the Night 11 final in Birmingham on Thursday night but that hasn't stopped his odds shortening further into 4/1 to win the SPOTY this year.
Ian Black is currently the youngest winner of the SPOTY award at 17 years old which he won back in 1958 and Littler could equal that with a win in December.

Mary Earps won the SPOTY award last year after World Cup heroics
England Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps won the 2023 Sports Personality of the Year award following her massive performances at last year's World Cup.
England lost 1-0 in the final against Spain but Earps made a number of big saves in that game including saving a penalty but the Lionesses still lost.
Earps had been backed into heavy favourite to win the award early on and those odds were ultimately correct as Earps was crowned SPOTY winner in December.
